Since the last update we completed the upstairs hallway with the same floor we put in the kitchen, and new doors. We also completed the entry way. We used the same floor as upstairs for the entry, pulled the carpet off the stairs and stained the wood treads that were there to match the floor, added white risers. We took out the old railing and replaced it with iron balusters with the handrail

Well, we haven't done a whole lot since finishing the kitchen so there's not much to share here. We have started a little work in the backyard, changed the front door and tore out the entry in preparation for redoing that whole area. That project, along with all the others, is currently on hold. Eventually we will add the back splash in the kitchen and we plan to redo the upstairs hall as well.

Everything has been ordered! Parts are starting to come in and we are getting excited! It will be a while before the kitchen is all put back together since we are also working around Rob's schedule, but it'll be worth it in the end.We pulled up more of the floor this past weekend. We checked another store for pricing on the cabinets and while browsing through the samples decided on a color change. We are going with the original store we started at, but will now be getting these cabinets...Grove Collection, Maple with Coffee GlazeIt is the same line (Grove Collection) and wood (Maple) as the first set we chose, but the color is lighter.

Rob pulled a corner of the kitchen floor tonight to find out what is under the ceramic tile. Hoping he would find that it will be easy to pull the floor up. Not gonna happen hun! I finally have a photo of the new dining room table we bought. So here ya go....The table is counter height and came with 4 pub type chairs. The black squares in the top are granite slabs. There is a butterfly leaf which is stored on the underside of the table. So you can imagine how heavy this table is and just how much trouble the guys had moving it into the house. Ok, here they are... The long awaited pool photos!So we opened the pool on April 26, and this is what we found....When Rob pulled the brush out of what we called "the swamp" there were worms! Ugh! We had new soffit, fascia and gutters put on the house. We also had the DirecTv dish taken off the roof. We decided to buy a couple new pieces of furniture yesterday (Mar 27). This is our new sectional couch with 4 recliners. We also purchased a new dinette set which is a counter height table with 4 pub chairs. I don't have photos of that yet. We pick it up on Saturday - which is also our official MOVE IN date!

Well, we are finally seeing progress....We have one space in the kitchen that needs to be primed and then the entire upstairs is ready for the real paint colors.Our new windows will be installed on March 19.The new carpet will be installed on March 27.The old propane tank has been picked up and the new propane tank has been installed and buried.
